At the start of this project, new wordmark logos were hand lettered for four major classic rock bands (Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, and AC/DC). The designs were then digitized and used to create greatest hits album covers for each of the bands.
These covers are meant to be part of a set, so each cover was made to look consistent so that it would fit with the others. For each cover, paper textures were applied to make them all look both cohesive as well as vintage. The compositions of each cover were inspired by some of the band’s most popular album covers.
